Balance Remedy OPC Formula

Ref: NPN 80054478

Source of antioxidant for the maintenance of good health.

Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are bioflavonoids (naturally occurring plant compounds) found in fruits, vegetables and certain tree barks that provide exceptional nutritional benefits to the human body. Studies have shown OPCs to be up to 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing free radicals. OPC supports and improves health by:

  • neutralizing free radicals
  • Helps maintain healthy circulation by strengthening capillaries, arteries and veins
  • Promote cardiovascular health
  • Demonstrates anti-inflammatory activity
  • Helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels
  • Improves visual health/visual acuity
  • Promotes healthy blood vessel dilation
  • Supports a healthy complexion

Properties of the Medicinal Ingredients:

Grape seed Extract: Grape seed extract is derived from the seeds of red wine grapes. It is a rich source of antioxidant. The proanthocyanidins in grape seed extract have been demonstrated to improve the strength of capillaries, provide cardiovascular protection, suppress allergy symptoms, improve vision and maintain youthful skin by helping repair damaged collagen.

Bilberry Extract: Anthocyanosides found in Bilberry are potent antioxidant which strengthen blood vessels and capillary walls, improve red blood cells, stabilize collagen and has cholesterol lowering effects. Bilberry has been shown to improve night vision, slow macular degeneration, prevent cataracts and diabetic retinopathy. Scientific studies have shown improvement in the eyesight, circulation, angina, stroke and atherosclerosis. It is also used to improve varicose veins and has anti-aging effects on collagen structures.

Pin Bark Extract: Pine Bark extracts have been shown to stabilize vitamin C in the cells, protect the cells from damage caused by free-radicals, and strengthen the walls of blood vessels (capillaries). It also inhibits enzymes that breakdown collagen and help maintain collagen levels. Proanthocyanidins also prevent the synthesis and release of compounds responsible for allergies and inflammation.

Cranberry: Cranberries are a top source of antioxidants, providing more free-radical-fighting substances than blueberries, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. They’re a significant source of proanthocyanidins, which are known to inhibit the bacteria associated with urinary tract infections, and may also interfere with the bacteria that cause stomach ulcers and gum disease.

Pomegranate Extract: Since the time of the ancient Greeks, the pomegranate has been prized for its nutritional benefits. It is a popular fruit highly regarded as a rich source of Vitamin C, Folic Acid, Vitamin A, and Flavonoids. Ellagic acid found in pomegranates exhibit strong antioxidant activity for protection against toxins and free radical damage. Pomegranate also promotes healthy blood cholesterol levels by elevating HDL cholesterol while also lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

Red Wine Extract: For years, experts have been touting the cardiovascular and overall health benefits of red wine, and for good reason. Red wine's antioxidant polyphenol constituents display powerful free-radical protection for the cardiovascular system and the whole body.

Rose Hips: Rosehip is the fruit of a rose and contains a variety of antioxidants as well as natural vitamin C.

Green Tea Extract: An ancient, all-natural health tonic, green tea contains powerful antioxidant polyphenols and catechins. Green tea consumptions and supplementations have been shown to improve immune and circulatory system, prevent cardiovascular diseases, stimulate metabolism and promote weight loss. Green tea also protects against cancer, lowers cholesterol levels, and regulate blood sugar and insulin levels.

Hesperidin: An antioxidant flavonoid found in citrus fruits, Hesperidin protects blood vessels against the harmful effects of free radicals to promote cardiovascular health. It can also help support healthy lipid levels by supporting beneficial HDL cholesterol.

Lycopene: It is a carotenoid pigment that gives fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, watermelon, and papaya their characteristic red color. Lycopene functions as an antioxidant for the prostate gland and lowers the risk of prostate cancer. Lycopene has both anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, making it a useful treatment in infections. It also protect skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun.
